Martin Chuzzlewit, Dickens's sixth novel, was published monthly between 1842 and 1844. Once again, Dickens chose to work with Hablot Knight Browne ('Phiz'), and is the fifth of the ten collaborations between writer and artist. The illustrations below are taken from the 'Authentic Edition' of Dickens' works (1901-1906) and reproduce Browne's original illustrations, with a coloured frontispiece.
